Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Bayside is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bayside follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The guy behind the counter acts very friendly, but he tried to overcharge me by almost $7. Fortunately, I noticed when he weighed the fish and again when I checked my receipt. When I confronted him, he pretended not to be able to find the handwritten slip where he wrote down the cost before cleaning. He literally had that slip in his hand less than 30 seconds ago. He ended up refunding me most of it, but what an unpleasant experience. I was initially going to be a regular customer based on our first interaction, but he has now lost my business and earned a bad review.

Today I went back here after 21 years of moving out of bayside and moving to Florida. My mom would always buy me crab cakes here as a little girl and they were my addiction! Lol Everything was exactly the same, I didnβt buy anything but I walked around with my husband and it still looks just as fresh and yummy as when I was a little girl. It was nice to see the same worker there that would always hand me the crab cakes with a smile even though I would go at least once a week π Thank you for the fond memories of me and my mother sharing some delicious crab cakes. π₯² Just wanted to share that memory that I will never forget! God bless!

Wonderful business passed down with a 40+ year history. Clean, friendly atmosphere run by folks who care! And as if not enough, their prepared soups, appetizers and entrees are on the money. You will NOT be disappointed.

Excellent, fresh selection of seafood and the employees/owner couldnβt have been nicer or more helpful. My husband and I decided to have a New Years Eve seafood feast when a neighbor told me about this place. I picked up shrimp, lobster bisque, lobster tails and baked clams and everything was amazing and very fairly priced!! I had never been there before and I was over satisfied with the selection and freshness of everything as well as the friendliest staff. I canβt wait to go back to pick up some tuna steak which also looked amazing. They also have a great selection of other fresh fish as well as already prepared soups, shrimp scampi, clams etc. Check it out, you will not be disappointed!!
